Support Frontenac's green spaces

Whether we bash some trash from our roadways, plant something useful in the green spaces we all share, or turn out to add our voice and know-how at a monthly meeting, there are many ways to help make Frontenac an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Frontenac Garden Tour: The Garden Club's largest event, volunteers help set up and take down Tour site signs and information, guide guests through the Tour sites and monitor the sites during the Tour. Volunteers may also help answer or direct guests to resources to answer questions. The Frontenac Garden Tour is generally from 10am to 2 pm on a Saturday in the Spring to early Summer.
Spring and Fall Garden Club Planting: Held at the same time as a No MO Trash Bash, these events include planting Missouri native or cultivar bulbs, shrubs and other plants and small trees, with some maintenance in the surrounding areas, as guided by the MODoT-approved Frontenac Garden Club Master Plan. Volunteers are asked to wear gloves, sturdy closed toed shoes and sunscreen and, if applicable, to bring a trowel or other garden tool. Volunteers are generally scheduled from 9 am to 11 am in April - early May and Late October - early November.
Community Clean-Up: Part of a larger effort called the No MO Trash Bash, volunteers help pick up trash in designated sites, generally along our major roadways. Volunteers are provided with safety vests and bags, but are asked to wear gloves, sturdy closed toed shoes and sunscreen, as needed. Volunteers are generally scheduled from 9 am to 11 am in April - early May and late October - early November.
Frontenac Garden Club: Members are community residents and business volunteers who meet on the last Monday of each month at Frontenac City Hall, from 4:30 pm to 5:30pm. The Garden Club plans education and other events in alignment with the mission of the Club and the Frontenac 2050 Comprehensive Plan.
